A Wednesday (2008) was about giving a stern warning
to terrorists and the system that a common man's resilience should not be taken
for granted. This film draws inspiration from it and goes a step further as it
offers an anti-bomb blast solution.
The film has its heart in the
right place but the execution is way too idealistic and far-fetched for your
liking. Terrorism is too intricate an issue to be dealt with so lightly. We are
sure the real terrorists don't hold placards, acknowledging their identity! You
see that happening here. Some men with Afghan accents are shown chanting
'terrorism zindabad' slogans, which is insanely naive and quite hilarious.
Also, the excessive preachiness gets annoying after a while. Dialogues like, "I am Indian, imaandari is a national virtue, desh bhakti, desh ki seva" are used frequently. These lines exceed action. Every character speaks a lot but does nothing. Also, the songs are terribly placed.
Lead actor Rehal Khan has a good presence but the highly ambitious story fails him. Nipon Goswami, Gulshan Grover and Mukesh Tiwari act well in their supporting roles.

production values but merging science and crime wasn't a smart decision after
