Hindi Movie Entertainment 2014 (Hindi Flim Review).

Entertainment
Director : Farhad-Sajid
Music : Sachin-Jigar
Lyrics : Mayur Puri, Priya Panchal and Ashish Pandit
Starring : Akshay Kumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mithun Chakraborty,
Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Johny Lever and Krishna Abhishek.

There's a dog who has been bequeathed 3000 crores by his late owner, a businessman of Indian origin, living in Bangkok named Panhalal. We don't know whether the amount is in Rupees or Baht. Neither Sajid, nor Farhad, both directors of the film, thought it necessary. This dog's name is Entertainment.

No. Wait. There's another dog [woof! Oops!!! Sorry, sorry, sorry. Slip of the thumb] named Akhil Lokhande who does odd jobs to fund his father's ailment. He soon realizes that his father is feigning his ailment and is also not his father and that his actual father is the one residing in Bangkok, the same tycoon, who impregnated his mother but never married her.

Now, there's another father (his girlfriend's) who is besotted by bucks. Not Black Buck silly, but money. He tells Lokhande that he will get to marry Saakshi only if he earns crores of rupees. This guy readily agrees, and as luck [or liberty] would have it, Panhalal happens to be his father.

But when he reaches Bankgok, to stake his claim, Entertainment has taken over the empire. Then begins the entertainment, or so you think.

Actually, the fun part was over before Entertainment came on the scene with Akshay as Lokhande along with Krishna Abhishek making you double up with their antics and snappy one-liners. The dog can only do ''woof'' or ''boooow''. But he manages to save Lokhande's life which brings about the change in his heart.

There are two more dogs [woof! Oops!!! Sorry, sorry, sorry. Slip of the thumb again], Karan and Arjun who are released just in time from prison, and who are related to the late Panhalal. They have a company named ''Entertainment'', and claim in court that the entertainment Panhalal was referring to in his ''Will'' is their company and not the dog. Dog loses, Lokhande, returns from the airport before his flight can take off to
India to help Entertainment (the dog) win the battle against Karan and Arjun.

To be fair to the film, the first half is entertainment. With names of actors creeping into dialogues. Thus, you have Aarti Chhabria and Avtaar Gill getting their two seconds of re-recognition on screen. But this is overdone as in the second half you get dog-tired watching the same antics on screen, again and again and again.

We also have this dialogue in the end where Lokhande weeps over a dead Entertainment saying why should only dogs be loyal, and not humans [he has taken a bullet meant for Lokhande, you see].

Just for the record, Saakshi is Tamannaah Bhatia, her greedy father is Mithun Chakraborty, Karan is Prakash Raj and Arjun is Sonu Sood. Panhalal is Dalip Tahil always in a frame on the wall. There's also Johnny Lever.

Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment may have worked for Vidya Balan in THE DIRTY PICTURE. But it's not necessary that just the word is enough to entertain.
